Surf Kayaking

The Tamar Canoe Association surf kayaks many of the local beaches including, Bantham, Seaton, Looe, Widemouth, Bude, Crantock, Newquay beaches, Perranporth, Mawgan Porth just to mention a few. The club has training sessions normally based at Seaton Beach in Cornwall where the beach is friendly for beginners. 

Beginners will be in close proximity to the beach to ensure safety. If and when you you pass your 1 and 2 star award you can follow on to a dedicated 3 star surf award, the star awards are not compulsory but will assist in your development.

If you decide to join the club you will become part of the friendly Tamar Canoe Association which will lead you to where ever you wish to go in your paddling sport, many members will either communicate through the forum or by telephone and arrange trips to the beaches and surf outside of the clubs calendar.

Every weekend summer or winter groups of varying ability paddlers will be going to the beach surfing where there is a good social gathering as well as surfing. Everyone helps and looks out for each other regardless of an official club trip or friends paddling.
